EDGE Innovate Brings “Electric Without Limits” to IFAT 2026
EDGE will be exhibiting at IFAT 2026 from 4–7 May at Messe München, Germany, and you’ll find the team in Hall B5, Booth #105. This year, the focus is simple: Electric Without Limits.
With more operators looking to cut emissions and reduce running costs, EDGE is putting its electric and hybrid machines front and centre. Visitors to the stand will be able to see how this technology is delivering the same performance as diesel machines – just with lower costs, less servicing, and better efficiency.
The EDGE VS420E Hybrid Waste Shredder will be on display at the stand, giving visitors the chance to see it up close. It combines electric power with diesel flexibility, so operators get the best of both worlds – reduced CO₂ emissions and fuel use, without losing power or productivity.
Also featured is the EDGE VS750i Electric, a larger twin-shaft shredder built to handle tough, bulky waste streams. Like the rest of the EDGE range, it’s designed to keep material moving, reduce blockages, and maximise throughput, while offering electric, hybrid, or diesel options depending on the setup.
What Are the Benefits of Electric Waste Shredders?
With rising fuel costs and stricter emissions regulations, more operators are turning to electric waste shredders as a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to diesel-powered equipment.
Power and Performance
Electric machines offer the same production capacity as diesel or hydraulic-driven units, ensuring high throughput without compromising performance.
Increased Uptime
With reduced servicing requirements and no need for refuelling, electric-powered units deliver greater reliability and maximise operational uptime.
Flexible Setup
Electric shredders can be customised to suit specific application requirements or integrated into existing waste processing plants, making them suitable for both new and retrofit installations.
Reduced Operating Costs
Electric-powered equipment can significantly lower operating costs by eliminating fuel usage and reducing maintenance requirements, particularly in high-demand environments.
Lower Emissions
Electric shredders produce fewer emissions, helping operators meet environmental regulations while supporting sustainability goals.
EDGE will also be showcasing its wider range of equipment for the waste and recycling sector, including trommels, scalping screens, stackers, and sizing equipment, all built for reliability, high output, and low downtime.
Whether you’re working with C&D waste, green waste, biomass, or MSW, the team will be on hand to talk through how EDGE solutions can help improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
